Rubber Board to organise training in rubber cultivation

The Rubber Board has decided to organise a training programme in rubber cultivation.

According to a release issued here, the five-day workshop will be held at the Rubber Training Institute from May 9 to 13. The course content includes modern planting materials, planting techniques, manuring, pest and disease control, tapping and latex processing.

The medium of instruction will be Malayalam.

The fee for participating in the workshop is Rs. 1,250. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates are eligible for 50 per cent concession in the course fee, according to the press note.

The payment may be made by money order or demand draft drawn in favour of Director (Training), Rubber Board, payable at Kottayam. The application on white paper along with the fee may be forwarded to Director (Training), Rubber Training Institute, Rubber Board P.O., Kottayam-686009, Kerala.

The fee can also be paid direct to Central Bank of India (IFSC Code–CBIN 0010955) account No. 1450300184.
