The RSP(Leninist) has demanded that they should be taken into LDF fold as promised by senior CPI(M) leaders. The representatives of the faction said they were being neglected while parties like the INL were inducted into the front. “If they fail to fulfil their promise before the Lok Sabha poll, the State committee of the party will take an appropriate decision,” said RSP(Leninist) district secretary Sabu Chakkuvally at a press conference here on Friday.
He added that CPI(M) leaders like E.P. Jayarajan had persuaded them to cooperate with LDF and now the front was welcoming parties like INL and Kerala Congress (Democratic) that did not even have functional committees in all the districts.
If RSP(Leninist) was taken into the LDF fold, more leaders from the official RSP would have joined.
“But the LDF decision has closed doors for such leaders wanting to come out of the UDF. We want a decision. We do not plan to wait forever. The party will take a decision after discussing the matter in the State committee scheduled to meet on January 4,” he said.
