Revolutionary Socialist Party (Bolshevik) leader A.V. Thamarakshan has said that his party will extend unconditional support to the United Democratic Front in the Assembly elections. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, he criticised Communist Party of India (Marxist) Polit Bureau member Pinarayi Vijayan for raising the issue of corruption in the yatra being organised by the party. He said an appropriate probe would expose the role of Mr. Vijayan in the SNC-Lavalin scam, depriving him of any claim to ascend to power in future. The Bharatiya Janata Party-led government at the Centre had belied people’s hopes, he said. — Special Correspondent
