Need to clear hurdles
The ‘Operation Anantha’ has come to a halt at present and now seems to be even in an abandoned stage due to some litigation, absence of proper direction and correct decision making and the paucity/shortage of funds allotted for the purpose. The administration is at present in a dilemma about proceeding with further steps and actions required for completion of the original vision/plan. At this stage, the government should take the initiative and call for an urgent meeting of all concerned to sort out all the issues for ensuring completion of all the related works in a time bound manner without further delay.

Fair price
Whenever there is a marginal increase in the price of fuel, auto-rickshaw drivers and all the trade union leaders fight among themselves for increase of fare.
Now, it is more than four weeks that the price of fuel has plummeted and fare remains solid.
Why cannot the transport authorities link the fare to the cost of fuel and oil and save the public from such looting? Same thing can be done in the case of public transport too.N.R.U.K. Kartha,

Panic pangs
There are some people who forget to wear helmet, and youngsters are among those. On seeing a policeman, they rush to escape. Many of these result in accidents. In the process of catching offenders sometimes pedestrians or even policemen get injured. The current method of enforcement may have to be fine tuned.
