The deadline for submitting applications for postal ballot for government officials appointed on poll duties for the local body election here on November 2 has been extended to 5 p.m. on October 28. A press release here on Monday said that polling officials, observers, sectoral officers and police personnel on law and order duty on the polling day can apply for the postal ballot until the extended deadline. As many as 13,500 government officials have been assigned poll duties in the district, while 7,500 police personnel will be manning the law and order duties on the polling day.
