Police lift curbs on trekking path

The police lifted the curbs on pilgrim movement on the Pampa-Sannidhanam trekking path between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. from Wednesday.

The pilgrims were not permitted to trek to Sannidhanam from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. on security grounds ever since the ongoing pilgrim season began. According to police control room sources at Pampa, the lifting of the restriction was on the basis of a directive issued by the State Police Chief on Wednesday evening.

Similarly, the curbs imposed by the police on the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation for operating the Nilackal-Pampa chain services from 10 p.m. to 12 midnight too has been lifted from Wednesday.
