Plea for new varsity campus

May 12, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 06:05 am IST - KANHANGAD:

The Kanhangad Nagara Vikasana Karma Samithi has called for setting up of a Kannur University campus here to facilitate start of more new generation courses in the unviersity.

The demand comes after University Vice Chancellor Khader Mangad assured the Samithi office-bearers that the university would take a favourable decision if the requisite land was identified. At a meeting here on Monday, the Samithi said the requisite land identified at Athikoth locality here should be utilised for setting up a campus to help the university introduce courses in tune with the changing times.
