The departure of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan from the Kannur International Airport to attend the inaugural function of the BPCL's Integrated Refinery Complex in Kochi by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday was delayed as the Navy's Dornier Aircraft could not fly due to technical snags.

The Chief Minister was scheduled to fly to Kochi in the Navy's aircraft at 11.30 a.m. after he attended a couple of functions in the district. Airport sources said that he could fly as scheduled because of the technical snags before the take-off. The journey was delayed for nearly an hour. He flew to Kochi in another aircraft of the Navy.
