‘Pinarayi has not read SC verdict on temple’

Had Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, properly read the Supreme Court verdict with regard to the women’s entry to Sabarimala, he would not have ventured into any misadventure to take young women to the hill temple, Forward Bloc national general secretary G. Devarajan has said.

Mr. Devarajan was inaugurating the siege of the collectorate laid by United Democratic Front workers here on Wednesday.

He alleged that the government had failed to provide even the promised emergency flood relief worth ₹10,000 to many affected families. Even the sister-in-law of the veteran Communist leader V.S. Achuthanandan too was yet to receive this emergency relief, he alleged.

Victor T. Thomas, UDF district chairman, presided over the meeting. Anto Antony, MP; Babu George, DCC president; Adoor Prakash, MLA; Pandalam Sudhakaran, UDF district convener; were among those who addressed the meeting.
