Painting Renaissance, new Kerala

A painting competition by young artists and a seminar marked the observation of the 82nd anniversary of the Temple Entry Proclamation here on Sunday.

Forty-three children participated in the competition, which stressed the need for protecting the values of renaissance. The competition was organised by the district administration, the Information and Public Relations Department, and Education Department, at Government Girls Higher Secondary, Thrissur.

Upper primary students were given the topic ‘Renaissance,’ high school students ‘Post-flood Kerala and survival’ and higher secondary students ‘Post-flood New Kerala.’ District Information Officer V.R. Santhosh inaugurated the competition.

The observance of the Temple Entry Proclamation, started on November 10, included a painting exhibition, painting competitions, quiz, and seminars.

Agriculture Minister V.S. Sunil Kumar will inaugurate the valedictory on Monday.
