Pack Post Centre opened

A Pack Post Centre (PPC), where the postal staff will take care of packing of parcels, was opened at the Kollam Head Post Office here. The facility was inaugurated by G. John Samuel, Member (Operations) of the Postal Services Board, on Wednesday afternoon.

Senior Postal Superintendent (Kollam) M. Mohandas said that safe carton boxes would be used for packing the parcels.

Mr. Samuel said that the post offices were being equipped to move towards e-commerce and parcel service in a big way. He said an MoU was signed with Kerala State Cashew Development Corporation here on Wednesday to sell cashew products through post offices.
