: The police on Monday arrested a person in connection with visa fraud. Asif of Chiramangad cheated Rs. 8 lakh from 21 persons promising job in the Gulf. He has taken Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 40,000 from each person.

: The East police arrested Libin, 24, of Meloor in connection with theft of laptops from institutions in the city. The police recovered 11 laptops from him.
