Officials instructed to give clear report on grievances

District Collector Anand Singh has instructed heads of various government departments here to submit clear and accurate reply in response to complaints and grievances submitted by people for redressal at the mass contact programme of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.

At a meeting of the officials of various departments here, Mr. Singh directed them to ensure that the responses to the complaints and grievances being submitted by the public for redressal at the mass contact programme should be accurate. An official press release informing this said that the a total 2651 complaints had been received so far. Also, 209 complaints about different panchayats had been received till date. The complaints had been handed over to various departments concerned for their responses. The Collector said that the officers concerned should examine the complaints and submit their progress reports by November 17. A meeting of officials would be held at 4 p.m. on that day, he said adding that final report on the complaints should be submitted before November 26.

The mass contact programme would be held here on December 3. Different departments should open their counters at the venue of the programme, the Collector urged.
