Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran has said that there is no bar on activists going on Sabarimala pilgrimage but cautioned against those venturing with the intent of fomenting trouble.

Earlier on Friday morning when two women trekked to the hill shrine, the Minister said the government was committed to giving protection to the faithful and not activists. The Minister also reiterated CPI(M) State secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan’s statement that Sabarimala should not be used for activism and said he intended only to lend clarity to the issue. He accused the BJP of trying create trouble in Sabarimala.
