NIFT-Kannur Director Rajeev Pant said at a press conference here on Monday that the graduating batch of Knitwear Design course at the institute will organise the show at Dinesh Auditorium here at 6 p.m. on June 2. At the show, 11 designers will showcase their collections through a ramp walk by models. As many as 143 students from five graduating departments of NIFT will pass out from the institute on Wednesday, he added.

Mr. Pant said the NIFT had started with two undergraduate courses in 2008, namely Bachelor of Fashion Technology in Apparel Production, and Bachelor of Design in Textile Design with 51 students. The number of courses in the institute had increased now with the Bachelor of Design Course in Knitwear Design, Masters in Design, and Masters in Fashion Management.
