The Kerala High Court on Wednesday disposed of an anticipatory bail petition filed by filmmaker Nadirsha in connection with a case relating to the sexual assault on a woman actor in the light of the report by the prosecution stating that no material or evidence had been collected to arraign him as an accused in the case.

The court pointed out that the report filed by the prosecution showed that no material was gathered during the interrogation to make him an accused in the case.

The investigation officer also said that there was no need for interrogating him further.

The court said that in view of the submissions by the prosecutor, the petitioner should not apprehend that he would be arrested.

Dileep to head FEUOK

Barely 24 hours into his conditional bail in the actor abduction and assault case, actor Dileep was unanimously reinstated president of the Film Exhibitors United Organisation of Kerala (FEUOK) on Wednesday.

The organisation, of which Mr. Dileep was the founding president, had removed him from the post soon after he was arrested in the case.

The decision to reinstate him came at a meeting of FEUOK office-bearers held in the city.
