Muslim Students Federation (MSF) district committee office-bearers on Tuesday laid siege to the office of the Director of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Malappuram centre at Chelamala, near Perinthalmanna, in protest against the revocation of the AMU MBBS entrance examination held at different centres across the country, including Farook College, Feroke.

The AMU Malappuram centre Director had been quoted in a section of the media as having given a report to the headquarters about some malpractices in the entrance examination at Farook College. The college had come out against the allegations, saying it was an examination conducted directly by the AMU.

The MSF leaders who blocked the administrative office at Chelamala said the Director’s remarks were irresponsible and had brought shame on Malabar’s most prestigious college. “The Director has insulted the people of Kerala by trying to appease the North Indian lobby,” MSF district president T.P. Haris said. The police removed the protesters.
