Industries Minister and Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) leader P.K. Kunhalikutty said here on Saturday that “more MLAs would quit the Communist Party of India (Marxist) pained by factionalism in the party.

Inaugurating a district convention of the IUML at Malampuzha, Mr. Kunhalikutty said “the resignation of R. He said no development projects had been implemented during the five-year rule of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government in the State. Welfare schemes for the poor were not implemented. .

He said the United Democratic Front (UDF) government had taken steps to implement the Coimbatore-Kochi industrial corridor. Mr. Kunhalikutty promised that “the government would set up Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and the Government Medical College in the district.

IUML district president C.A.M.A. Kareem presided over the meeting.
