Kozhikode, Kerala, 11/10/2019: Jolly Shaju being brogut to NIT-C to collect evidence in Koodathayi murder case on Friday.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Koodathayi serial murder case has come across more incriminating evidence against a BSNL employee who was earlier found to have maintained a close relationship with Jolly Shaju, the prime suspect in the murder case.

In the investigation, it was found that the man had been using a SIM card, which was earlier used by Roy Thomas, the former husband of Jolly and one of the six suspected victims in the serial murder case.

District Crime Branch sources said the man changed the SIM card into his address after Roy’s death and it was reportedly done misusing his capacity as a BSNL employee.

This could be a link for the hi-tech cell in the investigation team to probe in detail his suspected involvement or knowledge about the conspiracies by Jolly.

In the earlier investigations, the SIT had come across the details of some of the joint trips made by Jolly and the BSNL employee to Bengaluru and Coimbatore.

Jolly had been using a SIM card issued in the address of the BSNL employee.

To be questioned again

The suspected man had been interrogated a few times in connection with the incident. Police sources said he would be grilled again in the presence of the other suspects in the case.

They also made it clear that the custody of Jolly would be sought again on Monday to get details about a few other suspects in her friend circle and her suspected involvement in the death of Sily Sebastian, the last victim in the serial murder case.
