West Bengal Governor, M.K. Narayanan will inaugurate the ‘vibhava Samaharana yajnam' on Wednesday in connection with the 29-th Akhila Bharata Srimad Bhagavatha Maha Sathram, considered as the largest annual Vaishnavite spiritual retreat in South India, to be held at Thuravur Mahakshetram Temple in the district from April 2 to 14.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, P.V. Nalinakshan Nair, steering committee chairman of the Maha Sathra Nirvahana Samithi, Finance Committee chairman, J. Krishnan and General convener, T.G. Padmanabhan Nair said that the yajnam will be inaugurated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. The organisers expect a total of one lakh devotees at the yajna days.
