The police have begun investigating the disappearance of five members of a family residing at Badiadukka.
A complaint filed with the Badiadukka police station by Chandravathi, wife of Bhatiya Naik, on Thursday said that her elder daughter Prema, 20, younger daughter Remya, 15, along with Prema’s daughter Sangeetha, 2, had left home on May 14 saying that they were going to nearby Kattukukke to procure Remya’s school certificate. On finding that the trio had not returned home, Udayan, 28, Prema’s husband, and their son Sreejith, 4, went out to locate them. However, the duo did not return. A team led by sub-inspector A. Damodaran is inquiring into the incident.
