Minister’s assurance to institutions

Facilities at these institutes a priority: Satya Pal Singh

Union Minister of State for Human Resources Development Satyapal Singh has said that the Centre was committed to providing all possible assistance for the development of higher educational institutions in the State.

While interacting with the heads of various higher education institutes in the State here on Saturday, Dr. Singh said that the Centre will adopt the necessary steps to solve the problems faced by such establishments in infrastructure development.

Pointing out that assistance will also be extended to raise their academic standards, he said that the issues that have been raised will be resolved in a time-bound manner and a meeting of officials concerned will soon be convened in New Delhi.

IISER director V. Ramakrishnan, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode director Kulbhushan Balooni, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Palakkad director P.B. Sunil Kumar, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kozhikode director Shivaji Chakravorthy and Central University of Kerala Vice-Chancellor G. Gopakumar participated in the interaction with the Minister.
