The Madin Academy here hoisted a giant flag on Thursday heralding the finale of the 20th anniversary of the institution titled the Vicennium.
Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama president E. Sulaiman Musliar and organising committee chairman Sayed Ali Bafaqi Thangal hoisted the 10-kg flag using automation technology.
Madin Academy Chairman Sayed Ibrahim Khaleel Bukhari presided. Egyptian Cultural Counsellor Mohammed Shukur Nada was the chief guest.
Veteran Islamic scholar Ponmala Abdul Khader Musliar delivered the keynote address.
Madin students sang the Vicennium song penned by picking sentences from 20 languages such as Parsi, Spanish, Chinese, German, Arabic, Malayalam, English, Urdu, Malay, Tamil, Kashmiri, Kannada, Portuguese, Gujarati, Telugu, Turkish, Latin, Greek, French, and Polish.
