The District Legal Services Authority has organised a day-long legal literacy workshop for people’s representatives attached to local self-government institutions at the Catholicate College auditorium here on Saturday.
Justice Haroon Al Rasheed of Kerala High Court, inaugurated the workshop in the forenoon.
Mr N. Ravi, District Sessions Judge, presided the inaugural function.
K. Sivadasan Nair, MLA, delivered the keynote address.
Babu George, District Panchayat president; A. Sureshkumar, municipal chairman; Leela Rajan, Konni Block Panchayat president; Ramachandran Nair, president of the Panchayat Presidents’ Association, and S. Saroj Mohan, Pathanamthitta Bar Association president, also spoke.
K. Jyotikumar, T.S. Radhakrishnan Nair and S. Shahjahan, Additional Judge, took classes.
