LDF dharna to seek resignation of ‘tainted’ Ministers

May 13, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:56 am IST - PATHANAMTHITTA:

The Left Democratic Front (LDF) will organise an evening dharna before the municipal-panchayat centres across the district on Saturday, demanding resignation of “tainted” Finance Minister K.M. Mani and Excise Minister K. Babu.

LDF district convener Alex Kannamala on Tuesday alleged that though the police had registered a case against Mr Mani, no chargesheet had been issued to him so far in the bar licence bribery case.

.He alleged that the delay in registering criminal case against Mr. Babu, even after the court had received clear evidences against him, was nothing short of a challenge to the prevailing legal system.

He said both the Ministers should resign “in the backdrop of the clear evidences of graft accepted by them.”
