The Sulthan Bathery constituency committees of the LDF have called for a dawn-to-dusk hartal in Sultan Bathery and Poothadi grama panchayats on Monday.
The hartal is to demand the upgradation of the Sulthan Bathery grama panchayat to a municipality, and rectify the anomalies in the partition of Poothadi grama panchayat.
The BJP Sulthan Bathery constituency committee also called for a hartal on the day raising similar demands.
Essential services would be exempted from hartal.
