KUFOS gets new swimming pool

The newly built swimming pool at the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) was inaugurated in Kochi on Saturday.

Minister for Fisheries K. Babu inaugurated the facility, set up to train the university students in swimming, which is part of the varsity’s curriculum. 

The pool has a capacity of four-and-a-half lakh litres of water and is 25-metre long and 10-metre wide. It has four tracks, four starting blocks, all round deck slab, and spring board for diving, bathroom and toilets for boys and girls and automatic water filtration units.
