Kudumbasree home shop scheme launched

The Kudumbasree Mission’s home shop scheme was launched in the district at Taliparamba here on Thursday.

The scheme envisages the setting up of a home shop in each locality under the leadership of a Kudumbasree member to store and sell products of the mission.

Inaugurating the scheme in the district, Rural Development Minister K.C. Joseph said that the relevance of the food products of Kudumbasree units had increased at a time when the products campaigned through big advertisements were shown as causing health problems. He called on Kudumbasree members to ensure the quality of products they sell through the home shops.

The Minister also inaugurated the disbursal of the community investment fund for five community development societies (CDTaliparamba municipal chairperson Ramla Pakkar presented identity cards to home shop owners.
