The Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) here on Thursday accorded sanction for nine new projects for ₹748.16-crore.
Briefing reporters about the decisions of the meeting, Finance Minister T.M.Thomas Isaac said that in addition to that, the board also granted sanction for allied projects worth ₹863.34-crore cleared by the KIIFB executive earlier.
The board has so far approved 512 projects at an estimated cost of ₹41,325.91 crore, he said
While sanctioning the new projects, the board also reviewed the progress in implementing the works that have been approved earlier.
Masala bonds
The meeting also discussed the process for the formation of the asset management company for resource mopping, issuing of masala bonds through the stock exchanges in London and Singapore, raising loans at affordable rates from various banks and also through the Pravasi Chitty scheme for Non-Resident Indians.Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan presided over the meeting.
