Kerala ready to move court over beef raid

October 29, 2015 03:34 am | Updated March 24, 2016 09:31 pm IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:

The Kerala government has resolved to harden its stand on the “beef raid” by the Delhi Police in Kerala House in the national capital.

The State Cabinet adopted a resolution on Wednesday, terming the police action unlawful and one that crossed the seams of decency that could jeopardise Centre-State relations.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy told presspersons that the Cabinet had rejected the explanation given by the police that they did not break any law. The State would not hesitate to move court if the Centre tried to justify the police. There was every reason to believe that the police action was an act to please someone.
