Kerala floods: Governor donates one month’s salary

Kerala Governor P. Sathasivam handed over a cheque on Monday for ₹2.50 lakh to the Chief Secretary Tom Jose, as balance amount towards his contribution of one month’s salary to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.

The amount is in addition to the ₹1 lakh donated by the Governor to the relief fund on August 14. The Governor has appealed to people holding high offices in Kerala to contribute one month’s salary towards rebuilding Kerala.
