Justice K. Ramakrishnan of the Kerala High Court will hear two revision petitions against the discharge of CPI(M) State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan and the other accused in the SNC-Lavalin graft case, after yet another judge recused himself from hearing the case on Tuesday.

Justice N.K. Balakrishnan is the fourth judge to recuse himself from the case after Justice K.Harilal, Justice Thomas P. Joseph, and Justice M.L. Joseph Francis.

Unlike the other judges, Justice Balakrishnan gave reasons for recusing himself from hearing the case.

In a brief order, the judge said: “I was a junior to advocate C.K. Sreedharan, who is a top Congress leader having close association with the present Ministry. Hence, it is not proper on my part to hear the matter.”
