Josephine suffers heart attack; shifted to ICU

Former chairperson of the Kerala Women’s Commission and CPI(M) Central Committee member M.C. Josephine has been admitted to hospital after she suffered a heart attack during the 23rd party congress of the CPI(M) here on Monday.

She felt uneasy while attending the party congress and was immediately taken to the AKG hospital in Kannur.  CPI(M) leader M.V. Jayarajan said she was in the ICU and her condition was said to be critical. 

Meanwhile, Central Committee member Mohammed Yousuf Tarigami was also admitted to the hospital after his sugar levels went down. He was recovering and his health condition was normal, hospital sources said.
