October 28, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:47 am IST - KASARAGOD:

The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) has started showing off its upper hand over the Congress in the UDF in north Kerala, BJP State president V. Muraleedharan has said. Addressing a meet-the-press here on Tuesday, he said the IUML was eyeing the Deputy Chief Minister’s post or a higher post after the next Assembly election.

Mr. Muraleedharan, who was here to address election rallies, said the CPI(M) and the IUML were found to be joining hands to grab power and this could be visible in some areas in the Malabar region.

Terming as fabricated the reported moves to ban supply of beef delicacies in the Kerala House in New Delhi, he said the “drama” was enacted to mar the image of the Narendra Modi government.
