Finance Minister K.M. Mani on Friday ordered an inquiry into the locking up of K.M. Nair, managing director of the Kerala Financial Corporation, in his office room.
The Minister took the action after reports appeared in the press about the incident. Mr. Nair was allegedly locked up to press for the promotion of a union leader who had failed in tests and interview. Mr. Nair is reportedly under treatment.
Mr. Nair had met the Minister on Thursday to report on the incident. The Minister directed the Chief Secretary to conduct the inquiry.
