Homage to a young artist

October 25, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:43 am IST - KANHANGAD:

The artistic journey of prodigy Arjun K. Das, a final year student of animation and film design at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, was cut short after he was drowned in the Teesta river in Gangtok in June.

His parents K. Mohandas and C.V. Karuna are organising a four-day exhibition of his works at the Art Gallery here from Saturday.

As many as 40 select paintings, including those drawn during childhood, will be exhibited with a view to setting up a foundation to help budding artists from the economically weaker sections, Mr. Mohandas said.
