K.P. Prakash Babu, NDA candidate in Kozhikode Lok Sabha constituency, was granted bail by the High Court on Thursday in a case relating to attack on a woman devotee at Sabarimala.
The court ordered that the petitioner be released on bail on his executing a bond for ₹2 lakhs and two solvent sureties of the like sum. The other condition was that petitioner should not enter Pathanamthitta district for three months except for complying with the condition of court orders or for appearing for jurisdictional courts. He should appear before the investigation officer on the second and fourth Saturdays after April 23.
The court also asked him to surrender his passport, if any.
