Green channel for power connection

January 11, 2019 11:01 pm | Updated 11:01 pm IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM

The Kerala Electricity Board (KSEB) will set up a green channel to provide hassle-free power connections to high-tension and extra-high tension consumers, Power Minister M.M. Mani said.

Briefing reporters after a conclave of consumer organisations and large consumers here on Friday, Mr. Mani said the facility would be extended to all customers in a phased manner. Customers could place online applications for connection and could verify the progress too. A helpdesk for the new facility has been set up at Vydyuthi Bhavan. Procedures for giving new connections have been simplified. An applicant need only produce a copy of the land document and identity card.
