Govt to expedite special rules amendment

The government will expedite steps to amend the special rules to make them more relevant for recruitment to various posts in accordance with the change in courses offered by educational institutions, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said.

Replying to a calling attention motion of N. Jayaraj in the Assembly on Tuesday on the need to revise the rules to make them more contextual with the new courses that have been launched by institutions and also revise the qualification prescribed for various posts at present, Mr.Vijayan said an expert panel was already looking into the issue and the government would soon hold a meeting of the Public Service Commission (PSC) and others concerned to sort out the issue.
