GO hurdle to Kochi cancer centre

October 17, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:39 am IST

Yet another Government Order will be required to register the society for Kochi cancer centre as the previous order is incomplete.

Raising the issue of the GO, K.M. Abraham, Finance Secretary, had said that a detailed GO was required specifically authorising the people to be signatories to register the society.

The GO issued earlier to register the society had failed to mention all the seven officials by their names and designations authorising them to form the society.

Sources said the Health department was working on the GO which would be issued soon.

There had been apprehensions about the delay in registering the society that will further delay the work on the outpatient department at one of the unused buildings of the Government Medical College, Ernakulam.
