Forward Bloc questions need for med college

Updated - September 30, 2023 12:19 pm IST - ALAPPUZHA:

The All India Forward Bloc has questioned the need for establishing the proposed Haripad Medical College without improving the facilities at the existing government hospitals in the district.

Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, Forward Bloc district secretary Kalathil Vijayan said there were several unanswered questions regarding the proposed medical college. The government had the responsibility to explain the need for setting up a new medical college.

According to Mr. Vijayan, the services of the casualty wing, trauma care unit and specialised doctors were not available at the Alappuzha Medical College after noon.
