P.K. Ananthu, 15, from Neelipilavu, near Chittar, is determined to become an IPS officer.

Ms. Ananthu, who cleared the SSLC exam with 84 per cent marks, is among the girls selected by Mcacfast for its UNAI-UNHATE-supported Vanitha Ratnam project.

A Plus Two student, she is among the three girls from the district selected by the National Academy of Pre-recruitment Training.

R. Kavithamol Ravi, a tribal girl from Kurambanmoozhy, has cleared the entrance examination and has been allotted a BDS seat. But, she plans to write the entrance exam again as her ambition is to study MBBS.
