Fifth batch out

Cadets of the fifth batch of the B.Tech. course of the Indian Naval Academy (INA) at Ezhimala here were awarded degrees at a convocation ceremony on Friday.

The degrees were awarded by K.S. Dasgupta, Director of the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram. INA Commandant Vice-Admiral Ajit Kumar P., Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor Rear Admiral M.D. Suresh, and INA Principal Rear Admiral K.S. Venugopal were among those present at the ceremony. Parents and guardians of the cadets were also present.

An INA press release here said that the convocation ceremony marked the culmination of a four-year training regimen. — Special Correspondent
