Ernakulam school tops Wild Wisdom Quiz

Loyola School comes second in junior category

Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Girinagar, Ernakulam has emerged the winners in the 12th edition of the State-level Wild Wisdom Quiz held here by WWF India.

Kiran Thomas Tyson and Nakul B. from Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Girinagar, Ernakulam emerged the winners in the junior category, while Joash Jobby Jacob and Ishaan Sajay of Loyola School, Thiruvananthapuram, and Aman B. Manoj and Sarang L.V. of Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara, Ernakulam, came second and third respectively.

Organised in partnership with YMCA Thiruvananthapuram Chapter, the quiz on the theme ‘Exploring Our Planet’ had good participation with 29 teams in the junior category (classes 3- 5) and 32 teams in the middle category (classes 6-8).

The middle category winners who will represent Kerala in the national competition at New Delhi on November 19 are Neeraj B. Nair and Arjun Vivek of Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Girinagar, Ernakulam. Muhammed Raihan and George Kuriakose Basil of Vidyodaya School, Ernakulam and Ameya Madhavan V. and Parvathy K. Nair came in the second and third positions respectively, a WWF release said.

Merlin Mariam Varghese, Project Officer, WWF India, mastered the quiz of the junior section while the middle category was mastered by Renjan Mathew Varghese, State Director, WWF India. Padma Mahanty, IFS, gave away the awards.
