It was book release to suit the elephant craze of Thrissur people. ‘Changala kilukkam’ (Sound of chains) a book on elephants written by Arun Nair of Haripad was released by an elephant.

The function was organised at the Sree Dharma Sastha Temple compound at Mulangunnathukavu, near here, on Sunday. Elephant Gurugiyil Sivanarayanan released the book by touching his trunk on the tablet.

The book has been written in three volumes. It is about elephants of Kerala, the famous stories about elephants and knowledge about elephants. The book introduces 75 famous elephants in Kerala. It also has experiences of elephant lovers and mahouts. The book is available on www.valmeeki.com website and Valmeeki android app.
