Education has become a costly affair in the State, CPI(M) central committee member A. Vijayaraghavan has said.
Addressing the public meeting held here on Thursday in connection with SFI State conference he said high fees and expenses have made education unaffordable for the common man.
“Education Minister Abdu Rubb is destroying the public education system to support private education institutions. The minister does not know that students need text books to study. Text books are not available at schools even a month after schools opened. The public education system of the state was once a model in the country. But not any more,” he said. Mr. Vijayaraghavan alleged that the Modi government was trying to fill the top posts in education and history departments with RSS people. It wanted to create an impression that the Indian history was all about clashes and tension between the Hindus and the Muslims. They deliberately want to create animosity between the two religions through the education system.
