District Collector issues directions on postal ballot

District Collector T. Bhaskaran has asked the returning officers to be vigilant when accepting applications for postal ballot.

He said directions were already given to polling officials about the procedures to be followed in handling postal ballots.

The requests for postal ballots reaching the returning officers of grama panchayats should be handed over to the retuning officers of block panchayats, he said.

Postal ballots will be distributed from the office of the block panchayat returning officer.
