The Central University of Kerala (CUK) here is ranked among the top 150 premier educational institutions across India, as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF 2019) survey.
The CUK in a press release on Tuesday said that it got this meritorious success by competing with 3,127 institutions including the IISc, IITs, IIMs and other established Central universities like University of Hyderabad, Banaras Hindu University and the JNU. Among the universities, the CUK retained its 2018 status of top 150 among 860 universities across the country, the release added. CUK Vice Chancellor G. Gopakumar congratulated all faculty members and staff for this achievement, the release said.
He said that the current success was highly significant, as the CUK was only a decade-old institution that celebrated its 10th foundation day on March 2. In the next academic year, the CUK would launch new postgraduate courses in Management Studies, Tourism, Commerce and Kannada language, Prof. Gopakumar said. The CUK campus at Periye was going to become a centre of attraction for education soon, he added.
