The BJP will stage protests in a democratic manner in front of CPI(M) offices across the country if the latter failed to stop attack against the BJP-Sangh Parivar workers in Kerala, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Smriti Irani has said.
The Union Minister was addressing the Janaraksha Yatra led by BJP State president Kummanam Rajasekharan at Elanthoor, near here, on Saturday.
Ms. Irani said it was shocking that as many as 80 RSS workers were murdered in Kerala Chief Minister’s district alone.
“Three mothers had been killed only because they were RSS sympathisers and what more proof is required to show that Kerala is not a safe place even for mothers.”
Firm on stir plan
The Minister said the party would continue its agitation till justice was ensured to the BJP-RSS martyrs. The CPI(M) should not be under the false notion that it could stop the BJP’s organisational activities by threatening party workers and unleashing terror.
The BJP had staged protest marches to the CPI(M) office in the national capital and such democratic protests would continue till the latter stopped its violence in Kerala.
The Minister handed over the party flag to Mr. Rajasekharan to take the yatra to the district headquarters.
Union Minister of State for Tourism Alphons Kananthanam; V. Muraleedharan, P.K. Krishnadas, A.N. Radhakrishnan, M.T. Ramesh, and J.R. Padmakumar, all BJP State leaders, took part in the yatra.
