CPI(M) leader attacked

A CPI(M) leader sustained serious injuries to the head after he was allegedly attacked by a group of men near Kattayikkonam on Monday night.

The Pothencode police said that Shaji, branch secretary of the CPI(M), had been admitted to a private hospital. More details on the incident were yet to ascertained. Initial reports suggested that the attack could be the result of a road rage incident.
